Bhubaneswar, July 25: The Annual Budget presented by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the Odisha Legislative Assembly Thursday allocates funds for people's programmes, focussing on inclusive growth and Viksit Odisha.
Budget Highlights:
Rs 21,200 was allocated for Health Services. The amount is 32 percent more than last year's allocation and constitutes 8 percent of the total Budget.
The Budget allocates Rs 1,162 crore for Lakhpati Didis. Odisha Government targets to create 25 lakh Lakhpati Didis by 2027.
An outlay of Rs 83 crore has been made under the Yashoda Yojana to provide financial support to orphan children.
Rs 17,942 crore has been carved out for the Women and Child Develpoment Department. Rs 10,000 has been allocated for Subhadra Yojana under which cash voucher of Rs 50,000 will be given to each women.
The Agriculture Budget surged to Rs 33,915 against last year's Rs 24,829 crore.
A corpus fund of Rs 500 crore has been made for Shreemandir, Puri.
Rs 649 crore has been allocated for Shrianna Yojana.
Paddy will be procured at Rs 3,100 per quintal from farmers.
The Budget has made a provision of Rs 139 crore for Mukhyamantri Siksha Puraskar. Rs 1170 crore has been allocated for Medhabruti.
The government has renamed the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana as Gapabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana for which Rs 5,450 crore has been allocated.
Rs 2,462 crore for Mukyamandri Swasthya Seva Mission.
