Bhubaneswar, Feb 16: The State's Annual Budget of Rs 2,90,000 crore included allocation of Rs 37,800 crore for agriculture sector, which is a 12 per cent increase over the previous year's allocation.
Presenting the government, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said his government has prioritized the agricuture sector in the Budget.

He said Rs 2,020 crore has been allocated for the CM Kissan Yojana. Rs 695 crore has been kept in the Budget for promoting diverse crops.

✨Heighlights: Millet Shree Ann Yojana extended to 177 blocks. Rs 200 more will be given over MSP of Rs 4290 per quintal of millet procured.
The Water Resources Department has an outlay of Rs 386 crore for estuary mining. Hirakud Dam to be renovated at a cost of Rs 850 crore There will be cost for other dam improvements.
There is a provision of Rs 1150 crore in the Budget for 57 crore tube wells.
Rs 190 crore allocated for fisheries and animal husbandry as State aims to become self-reliant in fisheries and animal husbandry.
Chief Minister's Kamdhenu Scheme will be implemented to increase milk production for which Rs 146 crore has been allocated.
A sum of Rs. 46 crore has been earmarked for Gomata Yojana, said the Chief Minister.
