Odisha BJP President Election To Be Held From July 6 To 8

Bhubaneswar, July 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially released the election schedule for its Odisha State President and National Council Member under the ongoing ‘Sangathan Parva–2024’. The announcement follows directives from National Election Officer Dr. K. Lakshman, after the process was earlier postponed due to unavoidable circumstances.
According to State General Secretary and Assistant Election Officer Dr. Jatin Mohanty, the election process will span from July 6 to July 8.
On July 6, the preliminary voter list will be published at 11 AM, followed by scrutiny of objections from 12 PM to 2 PM, and the final voter list will be released between 2 PM and 5 PM.
On July 7, nomination papers will be accepted from 11 AM to 2 PM, with scrutiny of objections from 2 PM to 3 PM. The final list of candidates and symbol allotment will be announced by 4 PM. If required, voting will take place on July 8 from 9 AM to 11 AM, and results will be declared by 11:30 AM.

✨Dr. Mohanty emphasized that BJP’s organizational elections are held every three years, starting from booth-level committees to the central leadership. The elections for local, mandal, and district committees have already concluded, paving the way for the state-level leadership selection.
To ensure transparency and proper oversight, Bihar MP Sanjay Jaiswal has been appointed as the observer for the election process by the Central Election Authority.
This internal election is seen as a crucial step in strengthening BJP’s organizational structure in Odisha, especially after its historic performance in the 2024 State Assembly elections.
