Bhubaneswar, June 12: Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, Chief Minister-designate Mohan Charan Majhi garlanded the statues of legendary persons of Odisha located at different places in the capital city.
Deputy Chief Minister Designates KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida also garlanded the statues of the legendary persons.
They started garlanding the statue of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das At Gopandhu Square. They then moved to Raj Bhawan and garlanded the statue of Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das. At AG Square, they garlanded the statue of BR Ambedkar. They then moved to Vani Vihar to garland the statue of Fakir Mohan Senapati.
On the way, the CM-designate met people belonging to various sections of people and listened to their grievances. Majhi promised to consider their demands.

✨"People met me and told me about their grievances. During the last 24 years, the basic needs had to be fulfilled. But it was unfulfilled. Modi guarantees will fulfill the demands," said Majhi.
Majhi said a 100-day program would be taken up and steps would be taken to execute the programme.
He also said his government will prioritize upholding the Asmita (Odia Identity) of the State.
"People's trust in the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will respected. Odisha Asmita which is at state will be upheld," said the CM-Designate.
