Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal on Monday left for Delhi, where he is expected to meet senior party leaders to finalise the lists of candidates for the State Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha polls, party sources said.
According to sources, Samal will discuss with the central leaders over the lists of candidates, prepared by the party's State Election Committee, for the ensuing polls.
BJP's election in-charge for Odisha Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and co-in charge Lata Usendi have already left for the National Capital yesterday.

On Saturday , BJP’s State Election Committee held a meeting, in which discussions were held on the candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and Assembly elections.

✨In the meeting, candidates for the 147 Assembly seats and 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in the State were discussed, sources said adding that the Central Election Committee of the party will take the final call on the list.

Odisha will vote in the Lok Sabha elections and Assembly polls, which are being held simultaneously, in four phases. The polling will be held on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.
The votes will be counted with the rest of the country on June 4.
