The Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha's Kendrapara has once again opened for visitors after nine days of closure. 

Kendrapara, Jan 14: The Bhitarkanika National Park in Odisha's Kendrapara has once again opened for visitors after nine days of closure. 

The nine day closure was enforced from January 5 to 13 to facilitate the annual census of crocodiles and migratory birds in the sanctuary.

According to he crocodile census, a total of 1,811 crocodiles have been counted in the Delta area of Mahanadi river and canals of the sanctuary this year.
