Bhubaneswar, Dec 4: The Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence discussions on supplementary budget demands for the financial year 2025-26, Thursday.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had earlier presented an additional budget of ₹17,440 crore, aimed at addressing key developmental priorities and strengthening governance across multiple sectors.
The supplementary budget is expected to provide enhanced
allocations for departments such as Water Resources, Revenue and Disaster
Management, Steel and Mines, Planning and Coordination, Commerce, Information
and Public Relations, and Transport. These sectors are seen as critical to
Odisha’s growth trajectory, particularly in infrastructure development,
disaster preparedness, and industrial expansion.
