Bhubaneswar, Feb 9: The ongoing Budget Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly had a smooth start on the fifth day today.
Questions relating to Industries, Energy, MSMS, SSEPD, Textiles, Handlooms and Handicrafts and the Women and Child Welfare Department were discussed in the Question Hour.
While members expressed unhappiness over the dearth of industries and closure of existing units, Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, in his reply, said many projects have been taken up for the district.
According to the schedule, an Appropriation Bill against the Vote-on-Account presented yesterday, will be brought in for discussion and passing in the Assembly today.

✨Notably, Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha presented the Vote-on-Account of Rs 1.18 lakh crore for a period of four months from April to July yesterday.
As this session is the last one of the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly, a photo session has been scheduled for today.
A joint photo of the Speaker, Chief Minister, Leader of Opposition and all other Members of the House will be taken.
