Bhubaneswar, Mar 22: The members of Odisha Assembly Saturday paid tribute to former Aul MLA Devendra Sharma, who passed away under treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar on Friday evening.

The mortal remains of  Devendra was first taken to the Assembly, where Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Speaker Surama Padhy, along with other leaders paid homage.

Later, Devendra Sharma's mortal remains were taken to the Congress State Office, where Congress leaders paid their final respect.

Devendra Sharma was associated with the Congress Party for a long time. Sharma served as an MLA from 2014 to 2019, representing the Aul constituency.
