Odisha Assembly Budget Session Begins With Governor's Address

Bhubaneswar, Feb 13: As scheduled, the third session, also called Budget Session, of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly commenced today with Dr Hari Bahu Kambhampati addressing the House.
The Governor chanted Jai Jagannath as started his address. He condoled the deaths of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former MLA Bijay Kumar Mohanty and other former members of the Odisha Assembly. He advised that his and the House's condolences be conveyed to the bereaved families.
In his address, Kambampati highlighted various developmental schemes, from Shreemandir repairing work to the execution of Subhadra Yojana and procurement of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal from farmers, undertaken by the State government.

✨The Government said his government is working in tune with the spirit of Sabka Satha, Sabka Vikash; Sabka Vikash, Sabka Prayas. He said the government is going ahead with plans and programmes to achieve Viksit Odisha by 2026 in line with Viksit Bharat envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Governor narrated programmes undertaken by his government for development in farming, education, health, and all other sectors.
