As the House met for the day, BJD and Congress MLAs trooped into the Well of the House and staged protests. They climbed up the Reporters' table and the Speaker's podium. BJD MlAs were seen holding lanterns to mark their protest.

✨Unable to run the proceedings, Speaker Surama Padhy adjourned the House till noon. The situation didn't improve when the Assembly reassembled at 12. Speaking to reporters outside the House, Minister Krushna Chandra Mohapatra alleged that Congress MLA Taraparasad Bahinipati tried to stop him from keeping his replies by switching off his mike during the question hour. He said the opposition members didn't listen to requests made by the Speaker.
Opposition BJD, which ruled the State for 24 years, has not cooperated for running the house for three days. The oppositon members should tender an apology for disrespectful behaviour towards the minister and the woman speaker, demanded a BJP MLA.
