Odisha Approves 11 Industrial Projects Worth Rs1,333 Crore
The 143rd SLSWCA, chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, approved 11 industrial projects.

Bhubaneswar, Dec 24: The Odisha government on Wednesday approved 11 new investment proposals across diverse sectors, amounting to a total investment of Rs 1,332.80 crore, officials said.

 

The projects, cleared by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, are expected to generate significant employment and boost industrial growth in the state, they added.

 

The approved projects span food and seafood processing, textiles and apparel, chemicals, green hydrogen and ammonia, tourism, logistics, IT, and coal beneficiation. They will be implemented in Angul, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, and Mayurbhanj districts.

 

Among the major proposals, Sara Green Energy Private Limited will establish a 20,000 MT green ammonia unit in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 250 crore, while Universal Industries will set up an agrochemical unit in Jagatsinghpur at Rs 220 crore. In Khordha, Pasupati Agrovet Private Limited will invest Rs 200 crore in a shrimp processing unit, creating 700 jobs.

In the metals and downstream sector, Kalinga Copper Private Limited will set up a copper foil manufacturing unit in Dhenkanal at Rs 150 crore, generating 200 jobs. M M Castings Private Limited will invest Rs 65 crore in Ganjam to manufacture high manganese steel crusher parts, creating 330 jobs.

 

Textiles and apparel will see Sree Lakshmi Apparels Private Limited invest Rs 60 crore in a readymade garments unit in Cuttack, expected to generate 1,250 jobs. In tourism, Khimji Retail Venture Private Limited will develop a four-star luxury resort in Mayurbhanj with an investment of Rs 50.85 crore, creating 177 jobs.

 

Logistics and infrastructure projects include Steels and Carriers Private Limited’s private freight terminal in Angul at Rs 159.75 crore, generating 255 jobs, and Sapient Coal Beneficiation Private Limited’s coal beneficiation plant in Angul at Rs 58.20 crore, creating 300 jobs.

 

In IT and electronics, Quarks Technosoft Private Limited will invest Rs 68 crore in software development in Khordha, creating 2,500 jobs, while Sourcing Brains Lab Private Limited will invest Rs 51 crore in an ESDM unit for telematics devices and smart meters, generating 1,500 jobs.

 

Officials said the approvals reflect Odisha’s focus on diversifying industrial growth and creating employment opportunities across districts, reinforcing its position as an emerging investment destination.
