Bhubaneswar, Aug 21: In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, Sanak Auto Corporation Limited has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Khordha district.

The company plans to invest ₹300 crore in the facility, aiming to produce 10,000 EVs annually and generate significant employment opportunities.

The proposal received approval from the Odisha government’s 139th Single Window Clearance Authority (SWCA) meeting, which also paved way for 17 other projects across various sectors. Collectively, these 18 projects will bring in a whopping ₹4,515 crore investment to the state and are expected to create employment for over 8,200 youth.

The upcoming EV plant by Sanak Auto Corp is poised to be a game-changer for the region. Apart from boosting the local economy, it will also contribute to India’s clean mobility mission. The plant will directly create 145 jobs and indirectly support many more through ancillary industries and services.
