Odisha Accelerates EV Future with ₹300 Crore Plant in Khordha

Bhubaneswar, Aug 21: In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, Sanak Auto Corporation Limited has announced the establishment of a state-of-the-art electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Khordha district.

 

The company plans to invest ₹300 crore in the facility, aiming to produce 10,000 EVs annually and generate significant employment opportunities.

 

The proposal received approval from the Odisha government’s 139th Single Window Clearance Authority (SWCA) meeting, which also paved way for 17 other projects across various sectors. Collectively, these 18 projects will bring in a whopping ₹4,515 crore investment to the state and are expected to create employment for over 8,200 youth.
