Puri, Apr 21: In a shocking incident from Ratanpur village under Delang block in Odisha's Puri district, the body of an 11-year-old boy, Ashirbad Sahu, was discovered in a septic tank six days after he went missing.

The boy's disappearance on the evening of the 15th had left his family distraught, prompting them to file a missing persons report with the local police.

After an intense investigation, the police uncovered the boy's body in the septic tank of a relative's house. The accused, identified as Prabhakar Sahu, is alleged to have committed the gruesome act. Reports suggest that Prabhakar, who is married but estranged from his wife and daughter, harbored malicious intentions towards the child. He had cut the sex organ of the child before killing him. Villagers claim that his predatory behavior may have led to this horrific crime.

The police have arrested Prabhakar, and further investigations are underway to determine the exact motive behind the murder.
