Jagatsinghpur, Nov 4: A heart-wrenching plea has emerged from Kotakana village in Tirtol block, Jagatsinghpur district, where the family of Adarsh Behera is desperately seeking help from the Indian government to rescue their son, reportedly abducted by militants in war-torn Sudan.
Adarsh had migrated to Sudan in 2022 to support his family financially and was employed at a plastic manufacturing company. Initially, life was stable, but within months, civil war erupted between the Sudanese government and the RSF (Rapid Support Forces), a rebel militant group. The conflict, which has raged for over two years, plunged the region into chaos, leaving foreign workers vulnerable.
According to sources, Adarsh was abducted by RSF militants
and is currently being held in a jungle area. A video showing his distressed
condition has reached his family, sparking panic and fear. In the footage,
Adarsh appeals to the Indian government for urgent intervention and rescue.

His parents, overwhelmed with grief and helplessness, have made a public appeal to the authorities, urging swift diplomatic action to bring their son home. The situation has drawn attention to the plight of Indian workers stranded in conflict zones abroad.
The RSF has reportedly taken control of key regions in
Sudan, intensifying the danger for civilians and foreign nationals. Adarsh is
believed to be the only Indian national currently held in the area.
