New Delhi, Jul 19:  Not just as a cinematic tribute to Odisha’s spiritual heritage, but as a cultural milestone, Odia film “Shri Jagannath Nka Nabakalebara” has etched its name in history as the first Odia film to be screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The film, which portrays the sacred ritual of Nabakalebara — the divine rebirth of Lord Jagannath — was screened at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where it received widespread praise from dignitaries, artists, and spiritual leaders.

President Droupadi Murmu herself attended the event, adding gravitas to the occasion and applauding the film’s role in promoting Jagannath consciousness across India.

The special event was hosted at the Presidential Residence, where the entire film team was formally invited.

Among the prominent attendees were: Guruji Dr. Chandrabhanu Satapathy, Film Advisor Bibhuprasad Mahapatra, Major General Bhudeb Parida, Presidential VSM Military Secretary Vijay Nayak, Senior Technical Director & Additional Press Secretary Gyan Ranjan Nanda, Presidential Secretary Deepthi Umashankar, Press Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Officers Sunil Kumar Trivedi, Captain Rabneet Singh Randhawa, Colonel (Dr.) Kiran Kumar Kampela, Personal Secretary Debasweta Banik, Dr. Sunish S. (IFS), Odisha MP Muna Khan

From the film’s creative team: Producer & Director Bini Samal, Producer Dillip Jena, Executive Producer Pranaya Jethi, Distributor Satchikanta Jena (Prakash Films), Music Director Malay Mishra, Script & Dialogues by Shankar Tripathy were also present.

The film stars Siddhanta Mahapatra, Jyoti Ranjan Nayak, Sritam Das, Shibani Sangeeta, Pinky Pradhan & Anshuman.
