Speaking to the media after his appearance, Sarthak denied all accusations leveled against him by his wife and said, “I am not Atul Subhash. I will fight till the end.”
The young OAS officer expressed deep emotional distress over the situation and emphasized his commitment to truth and justice. “I trust the courts and I trust Lord Jagannath,” he added, indicating his faith in both legal and divine systems.
Sarthak said that his mother and sister needed emotional support and accused his wife of never standing by him during family crises.
“My Mother is a widow. Apart from me, my mother has no one,” Sarthak said adding that his wife never extended support during difficult times and claimed his responsibilities toward his mother were unfairly portrayed as wrongdoing.
Sarthak recounted his hopes that the birth of their child might restore normalcy in their relationship. “I stayed for three days at the hospital after our child was born and did everything possible for my wife and our child,” he said.
