Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: Ahead of the crucial Nuapada by-election, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released a 40-member list of star campaigners, featuring prominent leaders from both the state and national levels.
The list includes Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, signalling the party’s high-stakes approach to the contest.
Other key figures in the list include — Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

The inclusion of heavyweights like Odisha’s Organizational Incharge Sunil Bansal, Odisha State Incharge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, Con-Incharge Lata Usendi, and Odisha Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida further strengthens the campaign lineup.

Interestingly, BJP has entrusted Chhattisgarh leadership with significant responsibilities in Nuapada, a border district with strategic electoral importance.
Leaders from Chhattisgarh such as Arun Sao, Brijmohan Agrawal, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Roopkumari Choudhary, Anuj Sharma, Rohit Sahu, and Yogeshwar Raju Sinha have been tasked with mobilizing support and energizing the campaign on the ground.
National Vice President Baijayant Panda, former state president Samir Mohanty, senior leader Basanta Panda, and several ministers, MPs, MLAs, and party stalwarts are also part of the campaign team.
The comprehensive list reflects BJP’s intent to mount an aggressive and coordinated campaign in Nuapada, leveraging cross-border influence and high-profile leadership.
