Nuapada, Oct 27: As the political temperature rises in
Odisha’s Nuapada ahead of the November 11 by-election, former Minister and
Sambalpur MLA Jay Narayan Mishra on Monday boldly claimed that the BJP is in a
“gold medal position” from the outset, while BJD and Congress are left to
compete for silver and bronze.
Former Minister and Sambalpur MLA Jay Narayan Mishra, who
has been entrusted with key responsibilities for the Nuapada by-election by his
party, made sharp remarks against BJD and Congress. He claimed that BJP has
been in a victorious position since the beginning of the election
Speaking to media persons, Mishra, a five-time BJP MLA from
Sambalpur, launched a scathing critique of both rival parties. He alleged that
BJD’s campaign lost momentum immediately after announcing its candidate and
accused Congress of carrying the baggage of 55 years of corruption and dynastic
politics.
“We work for the people, and the public has faith in us,” Mishra said. “Odisha has seen 24 years of BJD rule and now 16 months of BJP governance. Voters are informed and will vote for development.”
The veteran BJP leader emphasized that micro-management and
grassroots outreach will give BJP a decisive edge. He also praised the
leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Mohan Majhi for
delivering corruption-free governance that resonates with the electorate.
