Bhubaneswar, Apr 30: The Nor’wester thundershowers will continue for the next three days across Odisha, informed the meteorological department.
The weather agency also issued a yellow warning for the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, predicting wind speeds ranging from 30 to 50 kmph along with heavy thunderstorms and lightning.
The mornings will bring scorching temperatures, causing discomfort for residents, while the afternoons will witness thunderstorms, strong winds, and bouts of heavy rain.
Currently, temperatures have dipped by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, offering temporary relief from the extreme heat. However, forecasts indicate that within the next four days, temperatures may rise again by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius, bringing back sweltering conditions.
With unpredictable weather persisting, residents are advised to stay indoors during thunderstorms, avoid open areas, and take precautions against lightning strikes.
