People faced difficulties in coming out of their houses after 9 am. With the temperature rising in many places, the India Meteorological Department issued alerts asking people not to move under the sun.
The capital city recorded 39.4 degrees Celsius by 2.30 pm according to the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.

✨The weather office also predicted that the daytime temperature will increase by two to four degrees Celsius in the next two days. Even heat-wave conditions will continue till April 6. The daytime temperature is likely to touch degrees Celsius in coastal and interior parts of the State.
In the last 24 hours, Chandbali recorded 39.6 degrees Celsius, Bhubneswar 39.4 Degree Celsius, Jharsuhguda 39, Baleswar 38.5, Sambalpur 38.5, Hirakud 38.5, Keonjhar 37.8, Rourkela 38.1 degrees Celsius.
