No Rituals Of Lord Lingaraj Since Monday Evening Due To Servitors' Dispute

Bhubaneswar, Jan 14: The daily rituals as well as as the Makara Puja Niti of Lord Lingaraj have not taken place since Monday evening after disputes among the servitors.

As per the report, the rituals haven't taken place after a dispute between Badu Sevayata (servitor) and Mahasuara Sevayata.

The report says that the dispute arose due to the repeated disturbance in ritual works by Badu Sevayata, who are allegedly conducting rituals acording to his will.

This didn't go well with the Mahasuara Sevayata and it turned into an verbal altercation. Since then, the rituals of Lord Lingaraj haven't been conducted.

Lord Lingaraj has been left stranded on Makar Mandap since Monday evening and none of his rituals has been conducted.

However, the temple is open for devotees. The morning mangal aarti hasn't taken place. The Sahana Mela darshan is underway. A massive number of devotees are at the temple on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
