Bhubaneswar, Mar 16: Odisha Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra said on Sunday that paddy will be procured at Mandis till March 31, which is the deadline.

"Paddy procurement has been going on successfully. Ninty-five percent of the procurement process has been completed. There will be no paddy procurement after March 31," said the Minister.

The Minister said the State has set a target to procure 76 lakh metric tonne paddy during the current Khariff season. So far, 50 lakh metric tonne paddy has been procured, said the Minister.

He further informed that the procurement process for Rabi paddy will begin soon. The State government will issue a notification soon.
