Bhubaneswar, July 25: The Finance Principal Secretary of Odisha has issued a directive to all state departments emphasising stricter oversight on outsourced recruitments.

As per the letter issued on July 24, no department shall make any outsourced appointment without explicit prior approval from the Finance Department.

The move is aimed at ensuring transparency, accountability, and financial prudence in government hiring practices.

All departments have been instructed to seek approval before initiating outsourced appointments, and furnish detailed justifications for such engagements.

This development comes as part of a broader effort by the Finance Department to monitor contractual employment and avoid unregulated hiring practices that strain government resources.
