Bhubaneswar, Sep 12: Citizens in Odisha no longer need to queue up at police stations for routine services. With the launch of “Ama Sathi”, a WhatsApp‑based digital policing initiative, 14 police‑citizen services are now available at the touch of a button.

✨Citizens can submit applications, upload required documents, and receive reference numbers to track status — all without visiting a police station.
Approved digital documents, including FIR copies and final forms related to road accidents, stolen vehicles, or theft cases, can also be delivered directly via WhatsApp.
This marks a significant step in bridging the gap between police and citizens, making services faster, transparent, and more citizen‑centric.
Currently, the system allows applicants to check the
progress of their requests from home. Once an application is submitted, a
reference number is generated, enabling users to monitor updates. The
initiative is expected to reduce delays, eliminate long queues, and enhance
trust in police services.
