Radhakrishnan elected as Vice President

National Democratic Alliance (NDA) nominee and Maharashtra Governor,  CP Radhakrishnan was elected as the 15th Vice President of India on Tuesday. He defeated INDIA bloc’s B. Sudershan Reddy by 152 votes.

The Vice Presidential election was necessitated after Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned from the post on July 21 citing health reasons.
