Bihar Assembly Elections
Polling took place smoothly in 121 constituencies spread over 18 districts in the first phase of Bihar Assembly Election. Around 60.13 % voter turnout has been recorded till 5 PM with Begusarai leading at 67.32%.
Key Leaders Cast Votes
Several prominent leaders including, JD(U) President and Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) Chief Chirag Paswan, and VIP chief and Mahagathbandhan’s Deputy Chief Minister face Mukesh Sahani cast their votes.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to vote enthusiastically in the “festival of democracy,” emphasizing responsible participation—especially by first-time voters—and reminding all, “First voting, then refreshments.”
