Justice Surya Kant was sworn in as the 53rd Chief Justice of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, with President Droupadi Murmu administering the oath. He succeeded Justice B.R. Gavai.


INS Mahe Commissioned

The Indian Navy commissioned INS Mahe, the first Mahe-class Anti-Submarine Warfare Shallow Water Craft, at Mumbai’s Naval Dockyard. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi presided over the ceremony, marking a major step in indigenous shallow-water combat capability.

Odisha Paddy Procurement

The Odisha government will start paddy procurement tomorrow for the 2025-26 kharif season, setting a higher target than last year. Cooperation Minister Pradeep Bal Samanta said extensive arrangements ensure smooth operations and farmer-friendly facilities at mandis.

 

Odisha Cyclone Preparedness

With possible cyclone fears in the Bay of Bengal, Odisha’s Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari assured full preparedness. The IMD said a possible cyclone, 1000 km from the coast, will have clearer trajectory and intensity details after November 25.


Pradhan Echoes PM’s Sports Vision

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan attended the closing ceremony of Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025 at Sambalpur’s Veer Surendra Sai Stadium. India’s WorldSkills Contingent

India has sent its contingent for the WorldSkills Asia Competition 2025 in Chinese Taipei, starting November 27. Twenty-three candidates will participate, with Minister Jayant Singh affirming the government’s commitment to nurturing talent and building India as the Skill Capital of the World.
