PM Modi Breaks Record
Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 4,078 days in office, surpassing former Prime Minister late Indira Gandhi's record of 4,077 consecutive days as Prime Minister of the country. With this milestone, PM Modi becomes the second longest consecutively serving Prime Minister in India's history.
School Building Collapse In Rajasthan
Six students died while over 30 were injured after a portion of the school building collapsed. The devastating incident occurred at Peeplodi Government School in Rajasthan. The collapse occurred during study hours when 35 students of Class 7 were seated in a classroom that suddenly caved in.
Textile Parks Inaugurated
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated six textile parks- one each in Bolangir, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Cuttack and Ganjam. With this move, around 25,000 employment opportunities will be created. Besides, the CM also inaugurated a 1000-bed workers’ hostel at Khordha.

✨Forest Ranger In Vig Net
A deputy ranger of the Jeypore Forest Division has come under the lens of Vigilance department following allegations of possessing disproportionate assets. A raid was conducted at Ramachandra Nepak’s residence in Jeypore. During the raid, massive wealth including gold biscuits have been recovered.
Red Alert Issued
The India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of very heavy rainfall over several districts in Odisha. Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts are likely to witness extremely heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

President's Rule Extended
The President's Rule in Manipur has been extended for another six months, starting from August 13, 2025. The decision came after Union Home Minister Amit Shah moved a resolution in the Lok Sabha seeking approval for the extension.
The violence started in the state in 2023 after a 'Tribal Solidarity March' was organised against the high court order.
