Startup India Mission
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that in just ten years, the Startup India Mission has become a revolution. Addressing an event marking a decade of Startup India on National Startup Day at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, PM Modi said, India is the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem.

NAMO Book Fest
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh released two new books in New Delhi. The books, titled ‘Gen V Bano’ and ‘Mahatma’, were released at the first edition of India’s NAMO Book Fest, a curated exhibition of books on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

India-Japan Strategic Talks
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar highlighted that India and Japan have transformed their ties over the past two decades from a purely economic relationship into a comprehensive strategic partnership. He made these remarks during opening talks with his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi in New Delhi.

Election of National President
The BJP has announced the schedule for the election of the party’s national president. The nomination will be filed on 19th of this month and on the same day the scrutiny of nomination papers will be done. The election will be held on the 20th of January.

Yellow Warning Issued
The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for cold wave conditions for eight Odisha districts, including Khordha, Cuttack, and Sundargarh, for the next 24 hours. Western disturbance from January 18 may gradually raise temperatures in Odisha.

ICC Reviews Bangladesh Venues
To resolve the impasse over Bangladesh’s T20 World Cup participation, the International Cricket Council is set to send a delegation to Bangladesh for in-person discussions ahead of the tournament scheduled to be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7.
