New Agreements Signed

 India and Russia exchanged several agreements in areas related to defence, trade, the economy, healthcare, academics, culture and media. Addressing the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit in New Delhi, PM Modi called Prez Putin’s visit a historic milestone in bilateral relations.

Free Tourist Visa For Russians 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that New Delhi will soon launch a free 30-day e-tourist visa and a 30-day group tourist visa for Russian citizens. He emphasised the importance of people-to-people connections in India-Russia relationships. 

IndiGo Flyers Face Turmoil 

Passengers at the Biju Patnaik International Airport faced major inconvenience as IndiGo flights were delayed for hours, sparking frustration among travellers who had been waiting since Thursday. The Centre has ordered an inquiry into the IndiGo fiasco and assured that complete normalcy to be restored within three days. 

MGNREGA Gets Major Boost 

An amount of over 68 thousand 393 crore rupees has been released to the States and Union Territories in the current financial year so far under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. 

HSC Exam Date Announcement 

The Board of Secondary Education Odisha released the timetable for the Annual High School Certificate Examination 2026, announcing that the Class 10 Matric exams for Regular and Ex-Regular students will be held from February 19 to March 2, 2026.

Dense Fog Alert 

Odisha to see a 2–3°C drop in night temperature over the next two days, the regional centre of the India Meteorological Department said. Dry weather is likely to continue statewide for the next seven days, with a Yellow Warning issued for dense fog in selected districts.
