NDA Parliamentary Party Meet

The NDA Parliamentary party meeting was held at the Parliament House complex in New Delhi today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President JP Nadda and other NDA MPs were present in the meeting.

Amid chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Har Har Mahadev”, senior leaders praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “exceptional leadership” and lauded the success of Operation Sindoor during the meeting.

India, Philippines Sign 9 MoUs
India and the Philippines today exchanged nine MoUs in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Philippiners President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. The MoUs include Strategic Partnership between India and Philippines, Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matter, Defence, Science and Technology among others.
Addressing the media, Prime Minister Modi said that the visit of the Philippines President holds special significance as India and the Philippines are celebrating the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.

Satyapal Malik Passes Away
Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik passed away this afternoon at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness. He had also served as the Governor of Goa and the Governor of Meghalaya.

Village washed away
A devastating cloudburst struck the Dharali area near Harsil in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district on Tuesday, washing away a village and leaving several residents reportedly missing.


Women Commission gets new chairperson
The Government of Odisha appointed Shovana Mohanty, a resident of Karanjia in Balasore district, as the new Chairperson of the Odisha State Commission for Women (OSCW).

On the other hand, Babita Patra has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.


CM Visits Delhi
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited New Delhi, where he is slated to attend a series of important official and party-related engagements. During his visit, the Chief Minister is likely to participate in high-level discussions concerning administrative matters.

Model Primary Schools
The Odisha government will develop 835 model primary schools under the first phase of its flagship Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Prathamik Vidyalaya scheme. These high-quality primary schools developed under the flagship programme will function as feeder schools for the high schools across the state.

Biometric Attendance
The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed all District Collectors to implement biometric attendance systems across revenue offices statewide.The move follows Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari’s surprise inspection, during which he found widespread absenteeism among staff.


Arrested Teacher Suspended
Bhejipada school Headmaster Prashant Khamari, who was arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with the OTET question paper leak case, has been placed under suspension by the District Education Department.

Sub-junior Boxing Nationals
The 4th Sub-Junior Boys and Girls National Boxing Championships will be held from August 7 to 13 at Galgotias University in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
