India, Philippines Sign 9 MoUs
India and the Philippines today exchanged nine MoUs in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Philippiners President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. The MoUs include Strategic Partnership between India and Philippines, Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matter, Defence, Science and Technology among others.
Addressing the media, Prime Minister Modi said that the visit of the Philippines President holds special significance as India and the Philippines are celebrating the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
Satyapal Malik Passes Away
Former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik passed away this afternoon at the age of 79 after a prolonged illness. He had also served as the Governor of Goa and the Governor of Meghalaya.

Model Primary Schools
The Odisha government will develop 835 model primary schools under the first phase of its flagship Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Prathamik Vidyalaya scheme. These high-quality primary schools developed under the flagship programme will function as feeder schools for the high schools across the state.
Biometric Attendance
The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has directed all District Collectors to implement biometric attendance systems across revenue offices statewide.The move follows Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari’s surprise inspection, during which he found widespread absenteeism among staff.
Arrested Teacher Suspended
Bhejipada school Headmaster Prashant Khamari, who was arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with the OTET question paper leak case, has been placed under suspension by the District Education Department.
