Pradhan Shares MDM With Students
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday visited PM Shri Pabitra Mohan Government High School at Kaniha in Odisha’s Angul district, where he shared a mid-day meal with students and inaugurated a newly constructed kitchen facility.


Financial Aid For Farmers
The Odisha government disbursed the third installment of the CM Kisan Yojana, benefiting over 51 lakh small and marginal farmers. Rs 1,041 crore has been credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), with each beneficiary receiving Rs 2,000.


Landslide Kills 30
At least 30 people were killed, and 14 others were injured after a landslide hit the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine route in J&K’s Reasi district, even as the water level in all the rivers of Jammu division and the Jhelum River in Kashmir flowed above the flood level on Wednesday.

Rescue Operations Underway
A section of the roof at Platform No. 1 of Cuttack Railway Station collapsed today, reportedly from an under-construction structure. Railway authorities have launched immediate rescue operations, with teams working on-site to ensure safety and assess damage.

OFC Officer in Vigilance Net
OFS-I officer and Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Bhubaneswar-IV Circle, Sarita Barik, was caught red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a bakery shop owner. Odisha Vigilance has recovered Rs 1.45 lakh in cash, 222 grams of gold, and bank deposits amounting to approximately Rs 60 lakh from her rented residence in Bhubaneswar.

Ashwin Retires from IPL
Former India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League through a social media post on his ‘X’ account. Ashwin added that he now aims to explore playing in overseas T20 leagues.

PM SVANidhi Scheme
The Union Cabinet today approved the restructuring of Prime Minister Street Vendor’s Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme. The Cabinet also gave approval for the extension of the lending period beyond 31st December 2024. The lending period has now been extended until 31st March, 2030.
