VP Election Date Announced
The Election Commission of India has officially announced the schedule for the Vice Presidential election, following the resignation of Jagdeep Dhankhar on July 21. As per the schedule, the polling will take place on September 9.

CM Thanks PM
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for approving the Dangoaposi - Jaroli 3rd and 4th rail line. The project, part of a Rs 11,169 crore package was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.

Bhitarkanika Reopens
Bhitarkanika National Park in Kendrapara was reopened to tourists on Friday after a three-month of seasonal closure. The park remained shut from May 1 to July 31 to ensure a disturbance-free environment for nesting and hatching of crocodile eggs.
