(2) Phased Demolition Soon In the wake of Saturday’s tragic incident near Mani Sahoo Chhak in Cuttack, where the collapse of an old apartment balcony claimed three lives, authorities have constituted a high-level committee to identify structurally unsafe buildings across the city and will initiate phased demolition. CM Mohan Charan Majhi announced an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakh each for the family of the deceased.

(9) Nuapada Campaign Ends Campaigning for the Nuapada by-election ended today as the silent period began from 4 PM. Voting will be held on November 11. Officials said all outside leaders and workers have left the district, and strict security has been deployed at 47 sensitive booths. Polling parties move tomorrow, with authorities hopeful of a peaceful, orderly election.

(10) Shivraj Singh's Odisha Visit  Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit Odisha tomorrow to attend the ‘Mandia Diwas’ celebrations in Bhubaneswar. He will highlight Centre’s initiatives to boost millet cultivation and farmers’ income. Later, he will visit Cuttack to interact with farmers and attend a review meeting at ICAR-NRRI, focusing on sustainable, technology-driven and self-reliant agriculture.
