New Colour Code Introduced For Government Schools In Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Mar 5: The new colour code has officially been introduced Wednesday for the government schools in Odisha.
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has instructed all the 30 District Collectors to follow the issued directives ensuring the school buildings adhere to the new colour code.
New Guidelines
It says that the walls of all the government schools, as well as PM SHRI school buildings in Odisha, will be painted in a shade of orange frost with orange tan borders during construction, repair, and renovation works.
In her letter to the District Collectors, stressing on the importance of uniformity in the appearance of school buildings, Ananya Das, State Project Director, OSEPA, said: “It is requested to issue suitable instructions to concerned field functionaries for adoption of the approved colour code in government schools, including PM SHRI schools, during construction, repair, and renovation work.”
This new order thus nullifies all the previous instructions related to the colour code of government school buildings.

It’s worth mentioning that the Odisha government had introduced a change in the uniform colour for Class-IX and Class-X students in government and government-aided schools. The new uniforms of the students feature a combination of light brown, chocolate, and clay-baked yellow colours.
