Bhubaneswar, Mar 14: The Biju Janata Dal held an important meeting under the leadership of its supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence 'Naveen Nivas' here today. 

Sources said the BJD supremo discussed election preparations with the senior leaders of the party. Patnaik reviewed assembly and district-wise preparations. 

Party observers handed over Assembly and district-level reports to Patnaik on the occasion. 
Many senior leaders attended the meeting. 

"Elections preparations were reviewed at the meeting," said the party's senior vice-president Debi Prasad Mishra. 

He, however, avoided media persons' questions on the possible alliance between the BJD and the BJP.
