Bhubaneswar, June 6: Minister of Food Suppliers & Consumer Welfare, Krushna Chandra Patra, had a narrow escape after the vehicle he was travelling met with an accident near Sundarpur Chhak under Baranga police station limits this morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the Minister was enroute to Bhubaneswar from Athagarh. Meanwhile, the vehicle collided with a ready-mix truck near an intersection. As a result, the right side of the vehicle was damaged and all the occupants including the Minister escaped unhurt.

On being informed, Baranga police reached the spot and took the damaged vehicle to the police station for further investigation.

Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
