Bhubaneswar, Sep 3: A dramatic road incident unfolded on Wednesday afternoon along Puri Canal Road near Symphony Mall, when a car attempting to avoid a collision with a passenger bus was struck from behind by a heavy-load truck.

Eyewitnesses reported that the car made a sudden swerve to dodge the bus, which appeared to be veering dangerously close. In the process, the vehicle moved into the path of an oncoming truck, which collided with it. Fortunately, the truck driver’s quick reflexes helped minimize the impact, preventing what could have been a far more serious accident.

Local residents and passersby rushed to the scene, confirming that no major injuries occurred. The occupants of the car were visibly shaken but escaped without serious harm. The incident caused brief traffic congestion in the area, which was quickly managed by police personnel who arrived promptly.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events and assess whether any traffic violations contributed to the near-miss. More details are awaited.
