Mayurbhanj, Apr 2: As many as 30 students, of Vivekananda Public School in Mayurbhanj's Karanjia, had a narrow escape after the bus they were travelling in overturned near Bhanra village.

According to reports, the bus was carrying the students from Chitraposi village to Vivekananda Public School in Karanjia. Meanwhile, the driver, who is reportedly said to be in an inebriated state, lost control over the wheels. As a result, the bus skidded off the road and overturned near a field in Bhanra village.

Soon after the incident, locals rushed to the spot and rescued the children. On the other hand, the driver fled the spot.

Later, police reached the spot and initiated a probe after registering a case.
