Bargarh, Aug 13: Around 49 passengers had a narrow escape after the bus they were travelling in overturned into a farm near Akhusingi village under Padmapur block in Bargarh district in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the bus was en route from Puri to Kotpad along National Highway-326. Meanwhile, the driver lost control over the wheels, following this, the vehicle skidded off the road and topple into an adjacent farm.

On being informed, Padmapur Police and Fire Services personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the trapped passengers. However, no passengers suffered a major injury.

The victims with minor injuries were rescued and shifted to Padmapur Medical for immediate treatment.
