Kandhamal, Mar 14: Nearly 20 passengers had a narrow escape after the bus they were travelling in overturned at Kalinga Ghat bordering Ganjam-Kandhamal districts in Odisha.

According to reports, the bus carrying around 15-20 passengers, was enroute to Berhampur from Raipur, when the driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle overturned at the Ghat.

Following the incident, at least 20 passengers sustain minor injuries.

On being informed, police and fire services personnel rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation with the help of locals.

All the injured were immediately shifted to Bhanjanagar hospital. On the other hand, G Udaygiri police have seized the bus and registered a case against the driver of the vehicle.
