Digapahandi, Aug 31: In a disturbing incident, the body of an unidentified youth was recovered near the Udayanatheswar Shiva temple in Badapada village under Chasa Nimakhandi Panchayat of Digapahandi block, Ganjam district. The body was found close to the Ramnadi Anicut, prompting immediate police action.
According to sources, members of the temple management committee spotted the body on Saturday evening while visiting the temple premises. They immediately alerted the local sarpanch and the K. Nuagaon police, who reached the scene and initiated an investigation.
Personnel from the Digapahandi Fire Department assisted in retrieving the body from the water. The identity of the deceased and the circumstances leading to the body’s presence at the site remain unclear.
