Rayagada, Mar 28: A 55-year-old man, who was among the several injured persons in the bus accident at Mukundapur Ghat in Rayagada district, passed away Friday morning while undergoing treatment.

The deceased, identified as Ramsingh Kulasika, hails from Binispur village under Kalyansinghpur block.

According to reports, Ramsingh along with two other critically injured persons were admitted to district headquarters hospital in Rayagada. However, Ramsingh succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

Notably on Thursday, as many as 23 passengers sustained minor injuries while three others are stated to be in critical condition after a passenger bus carrying over 40 people overturned near Mukundapur Ghat in Kolnara region in Rayagada district.

The incident occurred when the bus named 'Ma Bangarama' was enroute to Tikiri in Rayagada from Brahmapur's Hinjilicut.
