Kalahandi, Apr 22: A 62-year-old woman and his son died after coming in contact with a live wire at Turchi village under M Rampur block in Kalahandi district.

According to reports, the victim Sunaphula, wife of Magasir Suna, was drying clothes when she accidentally came into contact with a live wire. On noticing the condition, the victim's son, Ravi Suna, rushed to her rescue but he too was electrocuted.

Both succumbed to the electric shock at the scene, leaving the villagers devastated.

Later, police reached the spot and initiated a probe. The bodies were seized and sent to local hospital for post-mortem.

The sudden demise of the mother and son has cast a shadow of grief over the area, sparking discussions about safety measures and the need for awareness regarding electrical hazards.
