Morning Classes Begin In Odisha Amid Heatwave

The timing for Class-I to CIass-XII in all government, government-aided and privately managed schools has been rescheduled from 6:30 AM to 10.30 AM with immediate effect

Bhubaneswar, Mar 21: All schools across the state began its morning classes from today onwards due to heatwave conditions.

As per the revised schedule, the timing for Class-I to CIass-XII in all government, government-aided and privately managed schools has been rescheduled from 6:30 AM to 10.30 AM with immediate effect.

Notably, Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari had made the announcement after Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi set a target of ‘zero casualty’.

It is worth mentioning that the timings of anganwadi centres have also been modified in wake of the heatwave. Children in anganwadis will no longer stay in these facilities till 12 noon or 1 pm. The anganwadis will operate from 7 am to 9 pm every day throughout the summer months.
