Bhubaneswar, Sep 17: The monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly is set to begin on September 18, and security preparations are in full swing.
Director General of Police personally reviewed the arrangements on Wednesday, ensuring that all protocols are in place for a safe and disruption-free session.
A three-tier security system has been deployed around the Assembly premises, which includes:
- CCTV surveillance covering all entry and exit points
- Armed Black Commandos stationed for rapid response
- Access control zones to monitor movement of personnel and visitors
The enhanced security comes amid expectations of heated debates and possible protests during the session, which will run for seven working days until September 25.
The Commissionerate Police has also issued traffic advisories to regulate movement around the Assembly zone.
