Bhubaneswar, June 12: The long wait of the people of Odisha will be over this afternoon with Chief Minister-designate Mohan Charan Majhi and his ministerial colleagues taking oath and the beginning of the first-ever BJP government.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers of over five States will grace the oath-taking ceremony at Janata Maidan at 4.45 pm today.
Saints and Mutt Mahants, including Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati's Jaleshpeta Ashram, have been invited to the event.
Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das, LIC Chairman Siddhartha Mohanty and over 100 IAS officers serving in Odisha have been invited to the grand event.
Lord Jagannath has been invited with Gua (betel nut), rice, and coconut as everything happens by his blessings, said Prithviraj Harichandan, the newly elected MLA from Chilika.
Before attending the meeting, the PM is scheduled to hold a road show from Jayadev Vihar to Janata Maidan. A rehearsal for PM's carcade movement has already been conducted.

✨A tight security plan has been made for the event. The entire area from the airport to Janata Maidan has been put under security cover. A safe traffic system has been put in place to ensure that common people can attend the event. Sitting arrangements have been made over 30,000 people.
According to the traffic guidelines, vehicular movement will remain suspended from Jayadev Vihar Square to Nalco Square in both directions from 2 pm to 7 pm or the end of the swearing-in ceremony. The streets connecting the Jayadev Vihar-Nalco Square route will remain closed.
A tight security has been planned as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the swearing-in ceremony. As many as 67 platoons of police force will be deployed for the purpose.
As many as 13 DCPs, 18 ADCPs, 58 DSPs, and 94 Inspectors will be in the charge of the security. The IG of the Police and two DIGs will oversee the security, According to Police Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda.
