Bhubaneswar, Aug 30: The Mohan Charan Majhi Government In Odisha has shut the 'Nua O' programme, introduced by the earlier BJD government.
Instead, the BJP government has started framing a new scheme to benefit UG and PG students. The new programme will be implemented in this academic session.
"We are framing guidelines for a new scheme for UG and PG students. It will be implemented from the current academic session," said Higher Education Minister Suryabansi Suraj.

✨The Minister said the State government would give financial support to students who are deprived of pursuing higher studies due to lack of money.
He said the BJD government had spent a whopping Rs 95 crore in organising dance and music programmes in colleges under the 'Nua O' programme.
