Malkangiri, Apr 22: In a shocking revelation, the death of a sanitation worker at Malkangiri District Headquarters Hospital has unveiled a hidden fortune of cash and gold at his residence.

The deceased, identified as Dambru Garada, had been working as a cleaner at the hospital for several decades and was known for his simple and frugal lifestyle.

Dambru, who lived alone and had no immediate family, passed away two days ago due to cardiac arrest. Following his death, local authorities, along with his distant relatives, inspected his house and discovered cash and gold hidden in various corners.

Despite earning a modest salary, Dambru lived without basic amenities like electricity and led an austere life. The discovery of such a significant amount of wealth has sparked widespread curiosity and discussions in the community.

The recovered assets have been handed over to his relatives, and his body has been transferred for final rites.
